The Vermigli House

A Reformed Presbyterian residential discipleship program for young men, aged 18–24, rooted in faith, vocation, and community.

About the Program

The Vermigli House is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering a Reformed Presbyterian community for young men aged 18–24. Our mission is to bridge the gap between living with parents and establishing an independent residence — nurturing faith, encouraging spiritual growth, and developing essential life skills.

Grounded in the Scottish Reformed Presbyterian tradition and guided by the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms, we provide a supportive, structured environment where residents can mature in their faith, build God-honoring relationships, and develop the habits and skills necessary for a life of purpose, impact, and service.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation affiliated with Sycamore Reformed Presbyterian Church in Kokomo, Indiana. Residency is participation in a Christian discipleship program — not merely a housing arrangement.

What to Expect

Life at The Vermigli House is shaped by four core commitments.

Faith

Regular attendance at Lord’s Day worship — morning and evening. Participation in fellowship meals, midweek meetings, and faithful use of the means of grace, including private Scripture reading, prayer, and Sabbath observance.

Vocation

Residents are expected to be employed, actively seeking work, or engaged in a Board-approved educational or vocational pursuit. Diligence and responsibility consistent with adult Christian maturity are required of every participant.

Community

Shared life in a historic 1800s home. Fellowship meals, mentorship, and accountability within a community of men who share a common faith and calling. Through life together, we equip residents to become strong men of faith who serve their families, churches, and communities.

Stewardship

A low-cost living environment that does not compromise quality or spiritual nourishment. Residents make a monthly contribution toward program operating costs. The Board may reduce or waive contributions on a case-by-case basis.
